LURF GALLERY presents WAVE 2026, a major group exhibition organized and curated by Kintaro Takahashi and Hiro Sugiyama. Serving as an expansive showcase at the intersection of contemporary art, graphic design, and illustration, the WAVE exhibition series has continually crossed traditional creative boundaries since its launch in 2018.

Between 2021 and 2023, the exhibition traveled to Los Angeles, São Paulo, and London, drawing more than 220,000 visitors worldwide and highlighting the vitality of Japan’s contemporary art ecosystem.

Marking its eighth iteration in Japan, WAVE 2026 is structured into two sequential parts: the first phase, WAVE BLUE, and the second phase, WAVE YELLOW. Across both sessions, the exhibition brings together 108 participating artists, ranging from established figures to emerging talents.

The exhibition takes place across both floors of LURF GALLERY in Daikanyama, Tokyo, located at Roob1, 28-13 Sarugakucho, Shibuya-ku.

WAVE BLUE runs from September 19 through October 12, 2026, operating daily from 11:00 to 19:00, with a 17:00 closing time on its final day. WAVE YELLOW follows from October 17 through November 1, 2026, maintaining regular daily hours of 11:00 to 19:00.

The presentation includes original artworks available for acquisition alongside selected non-sale pieces, with free admission provided for all first-floor displays.

Full gallery access across both floors is ticketed, featuring a combined two-phase pass priced at 1,000 yen for adults and 500 yen for students, as well as a single-phase YELLOW ticket for 500 yen.

High school students and younger visitors receive complimentary admission, and ticket holders enjoy unlimited re-entry throughout the exhibition period.

WAVE BLUE features contributions from 89 artists, including Tadanobu Asano, Ryoji Arai, Katsuya Terada, Yumiko Sugiura, Rockin’Jelly Bean, Jun Kaneko, Yuko Ueda, and exhibition co-curator Hiro Sugiyama, among many others.

The subsequent WAVE YELLOW presentation brings together 19 prominent creative voices, including Hajime Sorayama, Yu Nagaba, Keiji Ito, Kotao Tomozawa, Haroshi, JUN OSON, and co-curator Kintaro Takahashi.

Organized and managed by the WAVE Executive Committee in partnership with ENLIGHTENMENT and LURF GALLERY, WAVE 2026 is supported by sponsors kaze pro Co., Ltd. and Sarutahiko Coffee, with additional cooperation from vision track.
