The Hartz Project will present In Mist, a poetic two-person exhibition featuring Korean artist Goyona Jung and Paris-based Chinese artist Yang Yi, at Gaia Art Space, Hong Kong. 

The show opens on November 8, 2025, with a special artist meet-and-greet from 5–7 PM, and will remain on view until December 27, 2025.

Within the exhibition’s quiet, atmospheric setting, boundaries between memory, vision, and imagination begin to dissolve—each element merging into a shared, elusive mist.

The space between clarity and obscurity hums with a delicate tension, inviting viewers to wander through shifting emotional and psychological landscapes.

Yang Yi’s ethereal landscapes unfold like translucent veils—fleeting and spectral, caught between visibility and disappearance. Having moved frequently with her family throughout her life, Yi’s blurred sense of belonging and memory seeps into her work, creating dreamlike scenes where place and identity constantly drift.

Goyona Jung’s faceless figures, on the other hand, stand as ghostly witnesses—fragments of humanity suspended between presence and absence.

Her paintings capture a threshold moment, where form and loss intertwine, evoking the fragile silence between being and fading away.

Together, their works form a meditative dialogue about transience and remembrance—stories that emerge softly, half-remembered and half-erased, waiting to be rediscovered before dissolving once more into the mist.

In Mist invites audiences to surrender to ambiguity—to drift into a realm where thought shimmers, memory blurs, and the unseen quietly comes alive.
