Artist Lee Seon-ok's solo exhibition, which began on the 25th, is being held on the 3rd floor of Insa Art Center, 41-1 Insadong-gil, on the 27th. Artist Lee Seon-ok exhibited most of her works, which she wove and polished with clay and colored cotton, in super white.

She also emphasized diversity by setting the sizes of the wine bottle-shaped ceramics to small and large bottles, showing that there are people with various personalities and characteristics in our society.

small holes in the works made of square cracks were also created to give a sense of leisure in life, and she explained that

she wanted to give meaning to things like boots, which are 'ordinary', and make them special and not ordinary.

The exhibition hall is not only filled with Super White, but also features works in blue and green that express the artist's emotions. Regarding his recent ceramic works, the artist emphasized that he thinks that in the past, three-dimensionality was a process of transitioning from three-dimensionality to two-dimensionality.

This artist's ceramic works are made by weaving together objects that contain his or her own memories, such as scallion roots, trees, and seashells.

This artist places importance on the process of weaving ceramics, laying down clay threads, and sometimes polishing colors when working with cotton.

Artist lee said, "I tried to express the continuity and relationships of daily life layer by layer with the cracks in the clay threads," and "This is because each day piles up to become life. I wanted to convey the hope that the apples pressed down with clay threads will one day be pressed down again and rise again."

artist lee continued, "Ceramics is the meeting of clay and fire. The reason I work with clay and thread is that when the kiln is fired, the thread burns and disappears, leaving only the space of the thread. The thread maintains the shape. I tried to express the traces of that thread."

she mentioned  "At first, I threw away the remaining clay by-products, but I wanted to use them to draw the pressed apple I mentioned earlier, showing that it is pressed down but will rise again someday."

The artist clarified, "In addition to using clay for my work, I also work with surfaces and polish colors. The colors that come out are different each time," and added, "I expressed the variety of colors that every single time appears and come out."

The artist has had five solo exhibitions and about 50 group exhibitions, and this ceramic exhibition will continue until the 30th. Meanwhile, the artist described the works expressed with clay threads as trying to express the aesthetics of the complicated or tangled thread-like relationships in which humans influence each other.
